Lakeside Baptist Church members participate in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world through the Operation Christmas Child program. Last year, “Samaritan’s Purse collected 11.9 million shoebox gifts globally.” (.samaritanspurse.org) In 2024, our 100 shoeboxes, filled with gifts for children, went to the country of Benin, in West Africa. The gifts included fun things like toys or games, practical things like pencils, paper, and crayons, and some hygiene things like toothbrushes (donated by dentist Dr. Hyveart in New Carlisle, Indiana), wash cloths and clothing. Also included in every box we sent was a gospel tract! Our goal is to see souls saved and lives changed!
